If I am ordering from outside of the U.K. will I incur taxes and duties on my package?

Yes, this is the responsibility of the customer. July Child is not liable to pay any duties or import taxes. With the U.K. having left the E.U. this is now the case for all of our European customers.

Do you deliver to PO Box addresses?

No, we do not.

My jewellery is faulty, what should I do?

All jewellery sold via July Child is checked carefully before shipment.

We can offer a refund within 14 days of purchase if your jewellery is faulty. We need to be notified as soon as you receive the package. Please email hello@julychild.co.uk with details.

PLEASE NOTE:

All designers stocked by July Child use hand craft methods so there may be minor imperfections to the jewellery which is what makes them unique. No two pieces are identical in many cases.

Responsibility at July Child

Here at July Child, we are passionate about our planet and making beautiful and unique jewellery. We are committed to being as responsible as possible and working on reducing our impact on the environment as we grow. Here is some of the key information we would like to share with you about how we do things;

✿ We produce all our Daughter by July Child range at a boutique manufacturing company in China.

✿ We work with recycled metals where we can!

✿ Our manufacturer is a SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) and SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) audited factory.

✿ The manufacturer we work with is a social and environmental conscience company, through annual factory audit they comply to the international standard with social welfare at the top of their list and ours!

✿ All jewellery collections are limited quantities, we make to meet demand! Our ethos has always been about having something nobody else has, so keeping those jewellery drops at a neat capacity keeps things minimal on waste, sustainable and exclusive!

✿ We are reducing our plastic packaging and changing to eco-mailers which are 100% recyclable and biodegradable cardboard boxes.

✿ All our branded boxes and velvet ring boxes are for keeps, so you can use them time and time again. They especially come in handy when you're travelling!

✿ Lastly, all jewellery is either for lifetime keeps, or if your plating wears, make sure you get it re-plated (there are plenty worldwide if you google them). You need never through away a piece of metal, all it needs is a little TLC and she's good forever.

KLARNA FAQ's

Customer Data Sharing

National and/or EU rules sets certain limits to how and when you may share customer-identifying information with Klarna. EU regulations state that the customer must have clicked the Klarna option before the Merchant shares any such information. Basically this means you share privacy data when the customers actively chooses the Klarna option in your checkout and Klarna’s widget is shown, not before. Our default setup complies with EU regulations. If you operate in another jurisdiction, you must check what kind of setup is permitted before you do the integration.

Tell me more about the metals featured in JC's collection

Pure gold is too soft for everyday wear, so it is alloyed with a mixture of metals like silver, copper, nickel, and zinc to give it strength and durability. Karatage, denoted by a number followed by "k" indicates purity, or how much of the metal in a piece of jewellery is gold. Karatage is expressed in 24ths, making 24k gold, 100% gold.

Many of the designers we stock use 24k, 18k and 14k gold. 24k is pure gold and the highest quality available. 18k gold is composed of 75% gold, which is alloyed with other metals to make it strong enough for everyday wear (some of the jewellery stocked is 18k plated). 14k gold is composed of 58.3% gold and 41.7% of other metals.

Recycling

We try to do as much as possible in the way of recycling. Our packaging is made from recycled paper as well as many of the jewellery featured on our website.
